Terms of service

These terms cover the todomd binary and the todomd.dev website. They are written to be read, not skimmed past. Using the product means you agree to them.

The free tier

Your first 100 dispatches are free, with every feature included. No account, no card, no time limit. When the counter runs out, dispatching stops until you buy a license; everything you built stays yours.

Your license

A license is a one-time purchase for one person, valid onone machine at a time. There is no deactivation step: run todomd license activate on a new machine and your seat moves there automatically. The previous machine loses access on its next license check.

You can use it for personal and commercial work alike. You may not share your key, resell it, or redistribute the binary. todo.md is closed-source software; reverse engineering it is not permitted.

Updates

Your license includes every v1.x release for as long as they ship: features, fixes, and new agent integrations. If a v2 ever exists, it will be an optional repurchase. Your v1 license keeps working either way.

The paid tier verifies your license online when you run todomd start, with a 7-day offline grace period between successful checks. If we ever stop maintaining todo.md, we will ship a final release that removes that check entirely, so what you bought keeps working.

Refunds

14 days, no questions asked. The refund policyhas the details.

Warranty and liability

todo.md is provided as-is. It dispatches coding agents that modify files and run commands on your machine; you are responsible for reviewing their work before approving it, and for keeping backups of your repositories. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for your license.

Changes and contact
